How It All Started
Heritage Broadband was born out of necessity. When big providers ignored rural Central Texas, we rolled up our sleeves and built the network ourselves. From farms and ranches to small towns and hill country homes, we deliver the fast, reliable internet that rural communities deserve.
Our Mission
Headquartered in Florence, we’re proud to be an independent, woman-owned internet provider with a mission to bring high-speed fiber and fixed wireless to underserved areas. Our network supports everything from remote work and virtual learning to streaming, gaming, and growing a business, all without data caps, throttling, or gimmicks.
Let's Meet Our Team
Merrianne brings 40 years of experience in customer service and customer service management, with expertise in their role as Owner, she is responsible for Strategic Leadership, Operational Management, Financial Oversite, and Business Development and growth.
Outside of work, Merrianne enjoys camping, cooking/baking, raising chickens, and spending quality time with family.
Has over 40 years of experience in telecommunications, network development, startups, and operations. He provides strategic installation leadership, operational supervision, and oversees the engineering department.
Outside of work, he enjoys camping and amateur radio.
Shaunna brings decades of experience in office management with expertise in bookkeeping, human resources, and effective problem-solving. She is responsible for customer service experience, operational strategies, financial management, and process improvements.
Outside of work, Shaunna values spending quality time with her family and friends enjoys traveling, and pursuing opportunities for personal growth and education.
John brings over 30 years of experience in designing and building carrier-grade networks, beginning with the launch of his first ISP in 1994 after serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He leads all aspects of network operations at Heritage Broadband, bringing decades of expertise in Linux virtualization, RF systems, network engineering, and security.
Outside of work, John enjoys hands-on engineering projects, gaming, and inspiring his grandchildren to explore STEM through curiosity and creativity.
